A Beginner's Look at Beekeeping

Join beekeepers Dana and Sue Gregson to learn about the art of beekeeping. Beekeeping can be a fun and fulfilling family activity, perfect for those interested in farming, animals, and the environment. Using pictures and real apiary equipment, this program will introduce you to this popular backyard hobby. This hobby should not be taken up lightly though. Dana and Sue have 30 years of experience and currently own 16 hives in different locations. We will learn about the roles within the honey bee colonies and how they work together as a community.

They will bring some of their honey and we will be able to taste the difference between summer and fall honey.
