Last month we started this “hands on” gardening course. We created a raised vegetable bed in front of the library, the Hobbs Community Garden, with the help of many kind donations. We planted seeds and seedlings in order to raise vegetables for the Sweden Food Pantry. Beginning gardeners are urged to participate. We are lucky to have Barbara Murphy, educator extraordinaire, from the Oxford Country Extension lead each of our six monthly sessions. Please sign up at the library. There will be a $10 fee to cover the cost of materials. Participants are asked to bring their own gardening tools. For further information, contact Rosie at 925-3177 or Barbara Murphy at 800-287-1482.
