Margaret Nomentana will again lead a two part art class at the Charlotte Hobbs Library this fall. The class will meet on Tuesday night, from 6-9, and Saturday morning, from 10-1, once a month. The Tuesday night class will focus on drawing and design, providing a strong foundation for the painting we will we do on Saturday mornings, with acrylic paint. The class is open to beginner and intermediate painters, including people who have never painted before, but would like to give it a try. The class will focus on creativity and artistic growth, with all students attending both sessions. Students will be responsible for purchasing their own art materials, in addition to a $5 materials fee. Come to the introductory session on August 22, at 10am, to find out more about the class; the first class meeting will be on September 8. A complete list of art materials will be available at the introductory session; previous students need not attend.
Students will be expected to do six hours a month of art outside of class. Please sign up for the class at the library by August 25. For more detailed information, contact Margaret at outerspace@ earthlink.net. There is a 5 student minimum, with the maximum number of participants at 10.
