This will be our seventh year as participating sponsors. This year’s book is The Finest Hours: The True Story of the U.S. Coast Guards Most Amazing Sea Rescue by Mike Togias and Casey Sherman (Casey Sherman is an alumnus of the Fryeburg Academy class of 1988). This book vividly describes the rescue mission for two oil tankers, each of which split in two during a violent storm off Cape Cod. We will be discussing this book on Monday, Oct. 17 @ 1 pm. The author, Mike Togias will give a presentation at Kennett High School in North Conway on Thursday, Oct. 27. Casey Sherman, will be speaking in Conway, at Salyards Center for the Arts on November 3.
