Story Swap: "Body Parts"

  • Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library 227 Main Street Lovell, ME 04051 United States (map)

In this Halloween season of glowing pumpkin heads, the Hobbs Story Swap will welcome stories involving not only heads, but also any other body bits and pieces. We’ll tell personal and family stories, historical stories, and folktales – of course including ghost stories.

Feel free to interpret the topic, “BODY PARTS,” as broadly as you like! Think of eerie stories of golden arms, or legless torsos bouncing down midnight chimneys? of an old scar that reminds you of surviving a youthful catastrophe? of a particular wave of a hand or wink of an eye that led to adventure? of a sporting event where a special skill was (or, alas, was not) noticeable?

Listeners and tellers are all welcome. If the pandemic situation makes it possible, the meeting will be hybrid, with some participants in the Community Room and some tuning in to Zoom. Please notify Jo Radner if you wish to attend in person, or if you would like to receive the Zoom link (jradner@american.edu).
