All patrons and friends of the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library are welcome to join the Page Turners, the Library’s book discussion group. We are currently meeting online.

In March we continue our four-part series on the French Revolution through the lens of one long novel, A Place of Greater Safety (1992), written by Hilary Mantel, the acclaimed author of the Wolf Hall trilogy. A Place of Greater Safety can readily be found through Minerva, on Kindle, or in paperback; for March we will read to page 583. We will also explore some of the Revolution’s primary documents. In May, we will focus on the Haitian Revolution and the age of Napoleon; in June we depart from our series on the Age of Revolution to discuss Virginia Woolf’s modernist novel To the Lighthouse (1927).
