PAGE TURNERS BOOK DISCUSSION: MONDAY, AUGUST 12 at 1:00 PM: at the Library and on Zoom

All patrons and friends of the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library are welcome to join Page Turners, the Library’s book discussion group, which meets at 1:00 p.m. on the second Monday of each month.

Our August selection is Zadie Smith's award-winning novel The Fraud, published in 2023, a tour de force historical novel set in Victorian England and featuring both a famous legal case and a famous author who was Dickens's contemporary. This will be a hybrid meeting in both the Community Room of the Library and on Zoom. Our September selection is Thomas Hardy’s novel The Mayor of Casterbridge (1886).

Page Turners maintains a discussion list through which members receive background information and preliminary discussion questions for each book selection. Please contact Sue Lanser (925-6244 or lanser@brandeis.edu) if you would like to learn more about the group or wish to join our mailing list.
