Tai Chi

  • Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library 227 Main Street Lovell, ME 04051 United States (map)

Tai Chi with Pam Katz will return for six sessions, starting Mon. October 3rd, 11:00-12:00. Classes will continue on Fri. Oct. 7th, and each Mon. And Fri. For 3 weeks.

Cost is $8.00/ per class. Any age welcome and no experience needed. Please wear comfortable clothing. Chair tai chi may also be experienced!

Pam Katz has been practicing tai chi for 27 years, and teaching for 18 years. There are many styles of tai chi, but we will be practicing Sun style which is the most passive and gentlest of all tai chi styles, and is recommended by the American Arthritis association, as this form is the least stressful on the joints.

Positive benefits of tai chi include relieving pain and stiffness, and stress. It is definitely known to improve balance, and may improve circulation, and posture, as well as heart and lung function. Tai chi integrates mind and body and, of course, enhances the flow of chi, or energy.
