Join us on Saturday, December 14th @ 4pm for this family-friendly event!
The Ancient Druids believe that certain rituals needed to be performed on the longest night of the year so that the sun would return. They would bring a large burning log ( The Yule Log) to the center of their village and folks would gather and keep watch until sunrise. While we aren't allowed to have a bonfire at the library, we can gather and tell stories, read poems and enjoy yummy snacks. We will also make sun masks and have a Sun Parade. Please feel free to bring your favorite Winter Poems and stories to read. Welcome Yule!
