Join us for our seventh Speaker of the 2021-22 season! Myles Felch is a Curator and Geologist at the Maine Mineral & Gem Museum. His research interests include lithium-bearing pegmatites and Northern Appalachian geology, Maine specifically. He currently lives in Maine's western mountains with his partner and two children. Myles will provide an introduction to the Maine state mineral, tourmaline. Its geologic origins, where it is found in Maine, and how it is used will be covered in the talk. This will be a Zoom-only event.
