Join Maine Mineral and Gem Museum educator, Deb, to learn all about the basic geology of Maine. We'll review the rock cycle and Maine's pegmatite layer (which contains cool minerals like quartz, beryl, and tourmaline). Held at Hobbs Library. Registration is required. Discover the secretive cuckoos of Maine’s forests. Learn how to spot the Black-billed and Yellow-billed Cuckoos, recognize their calls, and understand their role in nature.
