All patrons and friends of the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library are welcome to join the Page Turners, the Library’s book discussion group. The meeting will be hybrid this month.

All patrons and friends of the Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library are welcome to join the Page Turners, the Library’s book discussion group. Our selection for September is William Faulkner’s Absalom, Absalom! (1936), often considered one of Faulkner’s greatest novels and indeed one of the greatest of Southern novels. Absalom, Absalom! is widely available in electronic and print forms. On October 17, we will turn to this year’s selection for the “One Book, One Valley” program, Morgan Talty’s Night of the Living Rez, a new collection stories focused on the Penobscot Nation of Maine. Copies of the book are available on Minerva or for purchase at area bookstores.
Page Turners maintains a discussion list for our members, at which you can receive advance background information and preparatory discussion questions. If you would like further information about this group, please contact Sue Lanser at lanser@brandeis.edu or 925-6244.
