Hobbs Story Swap: What Can the Past Tell Us? (Zoom)

  • Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library 227 Main Street Lovell, ME 04051 United States (map)

The Hobbs Story Swap will invite stories on a broad topic in October: Stories from History.

What can we learn from past events, from earlier people, from bits of the world's evolution? What stories seem to us to carry power today, as we look back? Feel free to look back any distance, eons or days, to bring to the swap a short story that touches your heart and mind. Tell of an event, tell an old traditional tale that still has resonance today, tell about a historical character or someone from your own life. Try something new, or bring some work in progress, or share a tale you have loved for a long time.

The Hobbs Story Swap will be online in October, and will meet on an unusual day of the week: Tuesday, October 18, at our usual time, 1:00-2:30 EDT. Contact Jo Radner (jradner@american.edu) to receive the zoom link or to ask any questions.
